No webhooks. No filters. No fragile mail rules.
Each account gets a unique @mail2note.com address. Send or forward from any client, on any device.
HTML becomes clean markdown. Sender, subject, and date become YAML frontmatter. Attachments are kept as separate files.
The Obsidian plugin polls the server, writes the note into your chosen folder, and tells us to delete the copy. Configure once.
Six things, done with care.
Address
Forward from any email client. Use it for newsletters, receipts, meeting summaries — anything that should live in your vault.
Conversion
Headings, links, lists, and emphasis are preserved. Email chrome and tracking pixels are left at the door.
Attachments
Images, PDFs, and other attachments are kept beside the note and synced into your vault next to it.
Storage
Notes and attachments live on encrypted S3 storage while they wait for the next sync.
Retention
Once the plugin confirms it has the note, we delete our copy. Anything not picked up is purged within 30 days.
Plugin Under review
Install from the Obsidian community directory, paste an API key, pick a folder. That is the whole configuration.
Free tier
Free, with fair limits, through the end of 2026.
No card required. Sign-up takes a minute.
